Opening of the Ice Rink at Museumplein.
November 16, 2024 | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
During the festive opening of the Ice Rink at Museumplein, we will celebrate the return of the ice rink to the cultural center of Amsterdam. We’re going to make it a party!
After a demonstration by Figure Skating Amsterdam, District Chairman Bart Vink will officially open the Ice Rink at Museumplein. Following that, there will be performances by DJ Thomas Hensbroek, Maxime Froger, and Billy Dans.
Toddler skating
Every Wednesday* | 09:00 AM – 11:00 AM
The ice rink is for young and old, which means it’s also for the very little ones! On Wednesday mornings, little ones can skate in peace and quiet. There’s no risk of being knocked over by older, more experienced skaters.
During toddler skating, a supervisor can join for free on the ice. This supervisor is even allowed to go onto the ice wearing shoes!
*Except during the Christmas holiday.

The Ice Rink at the Museumplein offers children who are new to skating or looking to improve their skills the chance to take skating lessons on our rink.
